The Beneficiary Advisory Council (BAC) is for people who are on Medicaid or used to be on it, along with their families and caregivers. The BAC is made to make sure people with lived experience with Medicaid have a say in how Medicaid works. There are fifteen (15) BAC members. Ten (10) of them are current Medicaid members or former Medicaid members and five (5) are parents, guardians or caregivers of Medicaid members.

BAC Selection Criteria
If you want to know about future opportunities to apply for the BAC, sign up here to receive email updates about Kentucky Medicaid.
More information about the other
advisory committees may be found here.
Members of the BAC who need special help can email DMS to ask for it. They should explain what they need and what kind of help they want. DMS will look at the request and decide if it is reasonable. If the help asked for is not reasonable, DMS will work with the member to find a different solution that works. Each request will be looked at individually to meet the specific needs of each member.
