Division of Information Systems

The Division of Information Systems (DIS) collaborates closely with the IT Portfolio Management & Training team to oversee and manage Medicaid-funded systems and applications. These systems are essential for the efficient administration of the Medicaid program. DIS' mission is to ensure that the other six divisions within the agency have their IT needs met. Key stakeholders include DMS, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS), Kentucky residents, and healthcare providers.

DIS consists of three branches.

  • Enterprise Electronic Health Records (EHR)

*Medicaid is currently in the process of replacing the current MMIS system with a new, cloud-based platform known as Medicaid Claims Administration and Financial Solution. Read more about that project.
