The Division of Kentucky Health Information Exchange (KHIE) was created under KRS 194A.103 within the Office of Inspector General and maintains the state's Health Information Exchange. The KHIE is a secure network that meets national standards to ensure interoperability. Participants with certified electronic health record technology can enroll with KHIE to access, locate and share needed patient health information with other healthcare providers at the point of care.
