Waiver Renewal: The DMS renewal process has begun for three of Kentucky's six 1915(c) HCBS waivers with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
- ABI LTC: Public comment ended on Oct. 2, 2022. The official response to public comments is available for review.
- SCL: Public comment ended on July 24, 2022. The official response to public comments is available for review.
- ABI: The waiver application is pending CMS approval.
Eastern Kentucky Flooding Response: CMS has approved Kentucky's Appendix K application making temporary changes to the waiver programs for participants and providers affected by the July 2022 flooding in eastern Kentucky. The changes only apply to the counties listed in Appendix K.

Improving HCBS in Kentucky: The American Rescue Plan Act offers states a temporary 10 percent increase in federal funding for HCBS programs. Kentucky is using these funds to conduct a 1915(c) HCBS rate study and complete other program improvements. Stakeholders can stay up to date on the rate study and other initiatives by reviewing the
