Office of Administrative and Technology Services
General Accounting Division
- Provides consistent, accurate accounting services, including grant management, travel reimbursement, payment for goods and services
- Maintenance of accounting systems
Division of Facilities Management
- Coordinates the six-year Capital Plan
- Implements and monitors capital projects
- Coordinates safety activities
- Negotiates leases for and inspects leased space
- Tracks fixed assets
- Ensures adequate insurance coverage and claims processing
- Provides services related to space planning, project oversight, moving coordination, records management, and cost distribution data
Division of Systems Management
- Development and maintenance of the Cabinet's 61 mission-critical systems, some of significant size and complexity such as KAMES, KASES, TWIST, KICCS, eKASPER, Vital Statistics and Health Alert Network
- Development and maintenance approximately 200 smaller departmental applications critical to the day-to-day functions of the Cabinet
Division of Infrastructure and User Support
- Maintaining approximately 11,000 workstations and 3,000 printers
- Networking 450 servers at more than 350 locations throughout the state
- Installing and supporting Cabinet telecommunications across the state
This office is also responsible for:
- Facilitating maintenance of the CHFS Internet and Intranet
- Ensuring technology security/privacy and coordinating system audits
- Providing MS Office computer training
