Kentucky: Cabinet for Health and Family Services

The Office of Contract Oversight oversees Cabinet for Health and Family Services contracting and procurement processes to ensure compliance with the Kentucky Model Procurement Code, Finance and Administration Cabinet policy and procedures, CHFS policy and procedures and the highest ethical standards. The office is composed of two divisions: Contracting Services and Procurement Services.

Office Goals

Ensure that the Cabinet’s purposes and sound business reasoning drive every dollar allocated by the contracting and procurement processes.
Ensure that the Cabinet's contracting and procurement processes comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and procedures.
Ensure that the Cabinet's contracting and procurement processes are executed within the highest ethical standards and with the utmost integrity.
Ensure that CHFS receives exactly what it paid for by overseeing the performance of all contracts and maximizing the value of every dollar spent for commodities and services.
