FANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 18, 2005) -- Seniors can tune in to CNBC this weekend for information and answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about the Medicare prescription drug program, called Part D. “Medicare Rx: A National Conversation” airs on Saturday, Nov. 19, and Sunday, Nov. 20, at 6:30 p.m. EST, 5:30 p.m. CST.

The federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services produced the 30-minute program to help explain some program basics, such as how it works and what type of plan to choose. The program is hosted by John Palmer, a Medicare citizen trustee, who will lead a lively conversation about this important coverage.

The CMS and the Kentucky Division of Aging Services in the Cabinet for Health and Family Services encourage Medicare members to tune in or tape the program to watch at their convenience and share with friends and family.

“We hope members will be patient, take advantage of resources and opportunities to learn more about plan options and talk to family and their pharmacists so they can make informed choices,” said Bill Cooper, director of the state aging services agency.
