Kentucky's Tobacco Quitline, 1-800-QUIT NOW, offers one-on-one proactive counseling for tobacco users who are ready to quit using tobacco products. Speaking with patients about tobacco cessation has been shown to increase quit attempts. When health care professionals fail to encourage tobacco cessation, patients may interpret that as acceptance of tobacco use. MyLastDip is a website to help people who use smokeless tobacco quit free.
The Cooper Clayton Method to Quit Smoking is a 12-week program to help tobacco users cope with nicotine withdrawal using nicotine replacement products and group support addressing the behavioral aspects of addiction. This is a current list of scheduled Cooper Clayton classes. Some fees may apply. Call your local health department for additional information.
Positively Smoke free is a website specifically designed to help those living with HIV/AIDS who want to quit using tobacco products free.
Freedom From Smoking® Online is a program specifically designed for adults who want to quit smoking. It’s an adaptation of the American Lung Association’s gold standard group clinic that has helped thousands of smokers to quit for good.
