Before installing an on-site wastewater treatment and disposal system, a local health department environmentalist will visit the site and conduct a soil suitability evaluation test.  This will help the land owner choose which type of disposal system will work best in that particular situation.

The local health department environmentalist will again visit the site for final inspection to see if the system was installed properly and in compliance with state regulations.
