August 1 Policy Implementation
On July 12, central office posted two proposed policy addendums with effective dates of Aug. 1. The first proposed to eliminate the DOCS and the second specified the cabinet-approved assessment instruments PLEs will need to be used when completing five area assessments in lieu of primary level evaluations for children with established risk conditions (and contained other assessment report changes).
On July 20, central office re-posted the proposed policy addendum related to assessment and included additional changes that would take effect Sept. 1. At that time, central office posted three other proposed policy addendums with effective dates of Sept. 1.
Tuesday’s memo makes final the proposed policy addendum posted for comment on July 12. It includes language and format changes made as a result of comments received between July 12 and July 31. Four proposed policy addendums remain open for comment through Aug. 31. CBIS Server Problem
As many of you are probably aware, CBIS is having difficulty with its web server. The server is not down, but due to some U of L problems it cannot currently be accessed by using "cbis.louisville.edu". In addition, not all of the links on the page are working. As a result, CBIS experienced a problem with Wednesday's billing cutoff (8/1/07). If you were unable to access their website to upload your electronic billing file, please click on the following link: http://groups.google.com/group/firststepscbis/web/cbis-website-down-how-to-get-around-it. Please note this is only for providers who were not able to upload their file on 8/1. Files will be accepted until midnight tonight, 8/3/07. If you previously uploaded your file and received a confirmation page, you do not need to send it again.
