2015 National Volunteer Week

Mayors Day of Recognition for National Service

Louisville Mayor Greg FischerKentucky is proud that 106 elected officials participated in the third annual event. Mayors and County Judge/Executives across Kentucky issued proclamations, met members and took photos. Kentucky was fourth in the nation for participation!

Statewide Build-A-Bed projects

On April 25, ATEAM and MSUCorps AmeriCorps programs, along with many community partners, will be building more than 460 beds for children in need in 10 sites across the Commonwealth.

Learn more about the MSUCorps build in Morehead/Rowan County (160 beds).

Learn more about ATEAM's builds in the following nine counties: Barren, Crittenden, Daviess, Garrard, Graves, Hancock, Livingston, Marshall and Pulaski (300 beds).

Governor's Service Awards Update

The judging process is complete and the awards committee is working on notifications for nominators. Winning nominators are notified by phone by April 14. All other nominators are notified by mail by May 14, 2015. Learn more about the awards program.

Kentucky's Celebration of the AmeriCorps 20th Anniversary

2014 marked the 20th anniversary of AmeriCorps and Kentucky held a statewide celebration in downtown Louisville on Sept. 12, 2014, for AmeriCorps members and alumni serving in Kentucky.
