Each year the staff of the Division of Family Resource and Youth Services Centers conducts programmatic monitoring visits at selected centers to evaluate contractual compliance and integration of local programming in schools. Rather than being punitive in nature, program monitoring visits are intended to enable and encourage dialogue among staff as a means to enhance quality and success at our centers.
Each monitored center is asked to download and complete a monitoring tool. Monitoring staff complete items on the monitoring tool regarding strengths, concerns/recommendations and noncompliance issues.
When all required information is entered, save the form and print a copy to present to the monitoring team upon arrival. Centers also should e-mail completed monitoring tools to their monitoring team leaders. The following staff members conduct program monitoring visits.

When noncompliance issues are identified, a plan of correction is developed addressing each noncompliance item. This plan must be forwarded to DFRYSC in Frankfort within 30 days of receipt of the written report. The plan of correction is reviewed and the district is contacted when more information is required. A letter is sent to superintendents, district contacts and center coordinators acknowledging receipt and approval of plans of correction.
