Division of Child Support
The Division of Child Support (DCS) is a division in the Department for Community Based Services (DCBS). The division provides assistance to parents with minor children seeking financial support from a noncustodial parent.
Every child has a legal right to financial support from both parents.

How to Apply for Child Support Services |
 |
Child support services are automatically provided to current and former recipients of K-TAP and public medical assistance. Your K-TAP caseworker will refer your case to the appropriate child support office.
If you are not receiving K-TAP or medical assistance, you can apply for child support services by completing an application for services.
Contact the child support office in your county of residence to request an application.

How to Calculate Your Child Support Obligation |
 |
The following forms are used to calculate the amount of child support a noncustodial parent must pay. The CS-71.1 is only used when one parent has 100 percent of the total income for the family. When printing these forms, you must also print a copy of the Child Support Guidelines Table, in order to complete the worksheet.

Financial Institution Data Match (FIDM) is a match between financial institutions and child support agencies to identify any accounts belonging to noncustodial parents who are delinquent in their child support obligations.

Child Support Enforcement Commission |
 |
The Child Support Enforcement Commission provides advice and consultation on child support issues and serves as a forum for the airing of grievances and complaints and referrals of cases to the appropriate resources.
The commission holds quarterly meetings to provide a regular forum for those involved in the child support system to discuss aspects of the administrative or judicial system and to offer recommendations for improvements to the child support program.
