Panel Workgroups

The Blue Ribbon Panel on Adoption established workgroups to assist in development of recommendations. To broaden the scope of input, the panel chose experts in various fields and subject areas to participate on the workgroups.

GAL and CAC Workgroup

The GAL and CAC Workgroup addresses issues related to providing legal counsel for children and biological parents, training requirements and an appropriate fee schedule for attorneys serving in this capacity.

Policy Workgroup

The Policy Workgroup will research development of a voluntary paternity registry, the need to enhance existing policies and providing additional supports to birth parents and children involved in the child welfare system.
